  23. Excuse me if this question appeared last week; I submitted it, but it 
  24. never appeared on my NEWS server.

  26. The following funny happens on one, and only one, PC. I've looked for 
  27. .INI files all over the place, but I can find NOTHING.
  28. Does anyone have any ideas ?

  30. I'm running the latest C-Kermit on a VMS VAX, and the latest MS-KERMIT on 
  31. a PC.

  33. I fire up SERVER on the VAX, and, on the PC, I do a
  34.     GET *.DAT
  35.  
  36. the 1st file comes across as
  37.     X.DAT
  38. the 2nd attempts to coma across as X.DAT, recognises the collision, and 
  39. becomes X0000001.DAT
  40. The 3rd becomes X0000002.DAT
  41. etc.
  42.  
  43. If I do
  44.     GET A*.DAT
  45. I get
  46.  
  47. AX.DAT
  48. AX000001.DAT
  49. AX000002.DAT
  50. etc.
  51.  
  52. would anyone have an idea where I could even begin to look ?
